...nice to see that Kennedy is still part of the organization. I really think he is going to contribute at some point this season.

I am so surprised by the Kennedy waiver move. Why a chance wasn't taken on a kid set to make $550k is a little surprising. I thought he played pretty good and has a little mean streak.

Agreed.

I'm sure that the Rangers are also happy that Kennedy cleared waivers. They took a chance hoping ythat he would slip by as all the other teams were cutting down rosters and meeting the cap. Thankfully the gamble paid off.

Idk about you guys but I'd love to see Kennedy on the opening night roster. Gotta think he'd play extra hard against Buffalo. We don't really need Boog for this game anyway, who's their toughest player? Gaustad?

I do not think we will see him this year. Wouldn't he have to pass re-entry waivers?

I don't think that at this stage of his career that Kennedy is subject to reentry waivers, even if he is sent to Hartford, which isn't happening yet.

no reentry waivers unless somebody actually gets sent down. they used to waive voros a few times and never sent him down. and as rusty said he might be too young/inexpensive to be subject to reentry waivers anyway
