Rangers Plummet in Power Rankings

ESPN.com drops the Rangers twelve spots to #22 in their most recent power rankings...

22. Rangers - Holy injuries, Batman! Not that you can really be surprised with Marian Gaborik, though. This smells like a long season, doesn't it?

...for once I agree with ESPN on hockey.

CBS Sports and TSN have also released their power rankings.

Sure the injuries hurt, so you can agree on that. The snarkiness about Gaborik? ESPN should shut it. Everyone was clamoring about his groin/hip being ready to fall apart at any second. If that had happened, fine, gloat and be snarky. A separated shoulder from a crap hit? That's hardly because Gabby is 'fragile'.

fuckin rangers. someone give me several billion dollars. ill make this team into perfection. its new york. this team should be top class, built right, good ticket prices, only rangers coverage on msg and make it the true marque sport of the city. this team deserves better than this. we all do. im not saying that this is the end of the line for the season after a couple of games but its kinda becoming a trend with this franchise. its always coming up short or something. can we resurrect lester patrick? im sure the dolans can some how go all jurassic park with this dna.

It is evident that Clark is picking the draftees-they seem like sound picks with both skill and character(biggie). The question remains, who is evaluating the talent at the pro level? because those choices are for the most part stuck in the 70's type evaluations.

rick - agreed on draftees since 2008. before that they were [pretty bad in drafting especially forwards
