Prospal May Be Back By December

Larry Brooks at the New York Post reports that Vinny Prospal, who has opened the season on injured reserve with right knee pain, may be able to rejoin the Rangers by the first week of December following Monday's procedure during which loose particles were removed from behind the joint.

It is believed those loose particles were responsible for the swelling in Prospal's knee that created pain that did not allow him to play.

...great news for Vinny. Hopefully he can come back and give the Rangers a nice lift heading into the dog days of winter.

Nice to hear if that was the only process on the knee and nothing structual. Early Dec is a good time frame.

with him missing at least 2 mos of season he prob won't hit the bonus part of his contract and i think that was bigger than contract itself - and would have counted towards next yrs cap
