Newyorkrangers.com announced today that the Rangers have agreed to terms with free agent forward Ruslan Fedotenko.
Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that it's a one-year, $1 million deal.
...i'm definitely on board with this deal, one-year and on the cheap. How could anyone complain? Will be real easy to move him if necessary as well.

Every dollar he gets he has earned with his performance in camp. Good deal for both sides.
If Fedetenko continues to perform as he has in preseason 1 million is a bargain. It will be a doubly good signing if Vinny is out for the year.
with Prospal potentially out for the season, this makes sense. Rusty has always been praised wherever he goes, and I know he played extensively with Malkin in Pittsburgh. Should be interesting to see how he fits in, but I wonder if his arrival blocks Grachev's development?
I like this deal so much, it's not even funny. He gives us another reliable two-end forward with speed capable of 2nd and 3rd line duties. Can never have too many of those. Now that we have two bonafide #1 wingers in Gab and Frolov, this is the perfect complementary piece (and on the dirt cheap) on the way to building a competitive team...
@ Evan S.
If Grachev played with HALF the effort and hustle Fedotenko has displayed this preseason, the Rangers would have found a spot for him.
Good signing! Add Fedotenko to the summer's list of reasonable contracts. Love management's new M.O.
I'm surprised they got him so cheap. Happy, but surprised.
I love this deal! He's only going to get better as he gets to know the team. This is one of the best deals of the off season
agree with most of posts that this was good signing. and with james w that grachevs play blocked him last yr and training camp
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! He's your problem now douchebags!!!
hey isles fan - isn't it dinner time on your wendys shift. cmon clean those tables
What are you talking about?
Block Grachev's development??? You can not be serious. Grachev has no energy or fire. The only thing blocking him is the way he plays which sucks.
