It's Going to Start Getting Busy Around Here

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that the Rangers schedule is going to pickup significantly this week...

"The Rangers play three games in four nights starting Thursday in Toronto and also have a three-in-four stretch starting next Wednesday with home games against the Thrashers (Wednesday) and the Hurricanes (Friday) and a third game against the Maple Leafs (at Toronto, Saturday)."

Gross feels Marty Biron might get his first start Saturday at Boston, since it’s logical that Lundqvist would start against the Devils Sunday at the Garden. Biron could also get the second game in Toronto on Oct. 30.

Here's John Tortorella on Biron getting a start...

“We’ve looked at the schedule and we have an idea of when we want to play him,” Tortorella said. “It doesn’t have to be after an awful game (by Lundqvist). Marty will get some time shortly.”

...with the sparse schedule to this point, it didn't make sense to give Hank a rest, but as Gross says we should see Biron sometime this week. Let's hope the Rangers can finally get some solid goaltending from their backup. It's been awhile.
