Given the permanency of a tattoo, I would have went with the traditional logo. The new third jersey won't even feature the lady liberty logo. In 15 or 20 years, it'll be a memory. But this guy will still have that tattoo. Bad move.

The third jersey that is suppose to be released in November can be seen on google just type white liberty jersey and it should be the first pic

Kevin H.,

You're just wrong. Why should he be concerned as to whether or not the logo on his leg/arm/hoof is instantly recognizable as a Rangers logo. If someone doesn't know what the logo is, they're not going to understand his tattoo anyway. People should be getting tattoos they like.

"In 15 or 20 years, it'll be a memory."

Isn't that the point? The important part is that the artist did a good job and I personally think because of the size of the tattoo, this logo is far more interesting than their traditional shield.

Shield or 3rd jersey, it is instantly recognizable and friggin rules.

Im with Kevin H. For a jersey that lasted like 5 years, compared to the Rangers 85 years... And look at the size of that thing!

i always liked the lady liberty 3rd jersey. those were dark years but the jersey was great.

I'm not a huge Liberty jersey fan but that is still a bad ass tattoo.

Whoa, easy there Patrick. Just my 2 cents. The tat is certainly bad-ass. But I'm with Dan W on this one: 85 years vs. 5.

For a tattoo i would have gone with Lady Liberty too - because it's a cooler design for a tattoo.

As for it being a 'memory', how do you feel about my Whalers tramp stamp tattoo?

If I were to have a tatoo, and it would only be one - it would be just like that one. Nice job.

I went with the shield on my leg a few years ago on a whim while on vacation. The guy did a fantastic job.
