I really like the action picture...pretty good banner overall.

I don't like the fact that Brian chose to illustrate the banner with a fight. I enjoy a good scrap as much as the next guy but I watch the game to see hockey, not the fights. The game is so much more about speed, skill and toughness that I hate to see it reduced to it's stereotype.

Thanks for the feedback on such a post packed day. Thanks KD!

Rusty, as a life long hockey player, I can assure you reducing the game to its stereotype was not my intention, and though I see where you're coming from, I can't say I agree. I feel that photo expresses the subtitle of the blog.

Anyhow, thanks again for taking the time comment.

love this one. I think the fight goes well with the 'dirtywork" slogan ya know?

this banner is great! i have played hockey all my life and the picture brian picked for the banner is great. yes there is a lot more to the game then fighting but this really shows the overall feel for the game. as a hockey player you know that you have to do what it takes to keep the "trash" away from the front of the net. hockey is a physical sport there is nothing wrong with getting into a scrap. overall this banner is awesome from the text to the picture definitely something i would like to see at the top of the blog site! good work brian!
