Rangers Giving Everyone a Chance (Update)

Update, 2:30 p.m.:
Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants has quotes from Exelby.

Original Post:
On the same day Ruslan Fedotenko accepted the Rangers training camp invitation, Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports that ex-Leaf and Thrasher defenseman Garnet Exelby will also be in camp, while agent Allan Walsh tweets that Alexei Semenov will be in trying out for the second straight season.

Last season, Semenov's wife told him couldn't play with the Rangers and he ended up playing in the KHL.

Exelby had 1g and 3a in 51 games with Toronto last year.

...i wonder if Semenov's wife is ok with the tryout this year. He actually would have been a great addition as a 7th defenseman last year. If he impresses, could have that role this year.

...bringing in both these players doesn't bode will for the way more expensive Eminger's chances of making the team.

I'd rather see McDonagh get the chance if he plays hard enough in camp
