Before I get to my daughter, I just want to thank everyone for their concern and prayers in the comments section, through e-mail and on Twitter. It means so much to my family and me. I will be responding to everyone.
My daughter is doing much better and hopefully will be home tomorrow. She still has a long road ahead, but it will be nice to have her home.
I hope to have time to do pre and post game posts tomorrow for the first preseason game. If for no other reason than to get my mind off what my daughter's been through.
Again, my thanks to everyone.
Update, 11:17 p.m.:
Decided to change the banner. This one is from Justin.

hope its going well kev...im gonna take a chance here and see if anyone thinks redden will report to hartford is hes waived? if he doesnt what happens then? i read hes at home with his wife expecting a new child...i hope this doesnt play into the rangers thoughts of demoting him...
jeez. i sure hope everything is ok with her and that she gets better fast.
Glad she is headin' home, small steps and a full recovery ahead I hope. Best wishes Kev ...
Home is the best place to get better. Best of luck
Merciful Father, have mercy on Kevin and his family. Amen.
Be positive for your daughter and your family. I went through a horrible medical experience that lasted almost 2 years. I couldn't have done it without my family. It drew me closer to them and it has made me a much better person for that. I wish you the best.
Best wishes Kevin -- I'm glad to hear that your daughter is going to be ok.
Great to hear that shes coming home! My prayers are with your family, kev.
I got really sad hearing the "long road ahead" in regards to your daughter. I'm glad she's alive as that's the biggest worry! But I hope the road goes fast, she has competent doctors, amazingly nice nurses and keeps her attitude up. It's much, much harder to see your child in pain and suffering than being in pain yourself. I wish for you that you keep your sanity and spirits up! Watch lots of comedies. I'm glad she's coming home!
Two yeras ago this week we learned that my oldest daughter had breast cancer. She underwent 2 surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. It is a true life altering experience when one of your kids lives is threatenened. You really understand what is really important and how little the things like the Ranger cap mess actually means in the grand scheme. My daughter is now doing fine, cancer free, back to work and coaching my granddaughters soccer team.
Kevin,
I'm so glad she's doing better and able to return home. Best wishes to you and your family.
Happy to hear the daughter is on the road to recovery. Daddyhood ain't easy.
Not sure if this is the place for it, but since Justin didn't get a dedicated post I'll comment here - I think the banner is very nicely designed, but I'm not a fan of staring at Messier's face. As awesome as that memory is, it's a constant reminder of the franchise's ineptitude since that magical moment in 94.
Greetings...am a priest-in-training who has "lurked" for over a year up here in NH, this is my first blog comment: Trust your doctors. Be patient. Have faith. Listen with an open heart. Try and get some sleep...For your daughter: every healing minute, no matter how small or hard, is bringing you closer to doing what you want to do again in a new and fabulous way.
This banner is pretty fantastic!
Best of luck from Sweden.
Glad to hear shes coming home buddy. Best wishes
