Photos: Valiquette & Jagr in Russia

Laurie Carr at Beyond the Blueshirts tweeted out these two photos today of Jaromir Jagr at a gas station grand opening in Russia and Steve Valiquette practicing with his KHL team CSKA Moscow.

...gas station re-opening? How the mighty have fallen.

Jagr. Easily top five best skaters to play for the Rangers. Ever.

And now he's cutting ribbons at gas station openings. Yikes.

My bad.

Agree. And Rangers should've worked harder to entice Jagr to stay. Maybe if they were serious about keeping Jagr and his posse, they wouldn't have thrown millions at Drury and Gomez that summer before his last year. And most importantly, they wouldn't have had cap space to sign Redden the following summer!

Result: each summer, there's been significant player movement...and we're scratching our heads in March as the team struggles to find consistent linemates and build chemistry. This summer is different. HOpefully the upcoming season yields better results due to less change.
