Callahan, Boyle & Gilroy Join the Mix

From @thenyrangers...

The boys are back on the ice for another informal workout as Ryan Callahan, Brian Boyle, & Matt Gilroy have joined their #NYR 'mates todayless than a minute ago via TweetDeck

...surprised Boyle and Gilroy weren't there yesterday. Both of them need to make an outstanding impression on the coaching staff this preseason if they want to start the year with the Rangers and not in Hartford.

Both of them woke up at about 11AM yesterday, read that NYR signed Kennedy, and thought to themselves "oh, crap!! I should've gone to the skate today!"

I really do believe if redden is not sent down gilroy is the odd man out unless he really has a good camp and pre season. And boyle is getting traded or hartford bound, I'm sure another team could use his size on the 4th line and he is very very affordable. Second lowest salary on the current roster next to kennedy

I agree Rob- could very well be seeing Boyle for the last time. Potential doesn't mean a thing if you can't make it rise to the surface. Perplexed by the 3rd line players dominating the NYR's roster. Their numbers are just overwhelming and then you add in rookies learning the game at this level and you walk away shaking your head.

training camp starts sept 17th so missing aug 3oth is absolutely no problem. in fact i bet the lot of them close down for labor day weekend. the rangers problem the last 2 yrs at least is not how they started. they seemed ahead of the curve and after about 10 games others passed them by as the others rounded into shape
