In an interview at newyorkrangers.com, Ryan Callahan has this to say about the team bouncing back from not making the playoffs last season...
"I think we're all definitely a lot more hungry. It was tough and I know, personally, it has been a long summer. I think the biggest thing is coming back and not looking at not making the playoffs as a negative, but to turn it around and take it as a positive and as a learning experience."
...they better be. It's going to take a complete team effort for the Rangers to make the playoffs. Hopefully they learned from last year that they can't just depend on Gaborik and Lundqvist to carry the team. Those two need help and without it the Blueshirts are looking at a second straight playoffless season.

OMG IS HOCKEY SEASON HERE YET?!?!?!?
obviously expectations are not very high for us this season, but comments like this from callahan, arguably one of the leaders of this team, make me feel really optimistic about the season, and honestly i think that we will make the playoffs
btw, i love this blog, nice work
i respect that this team works hard but sometimes its not good enough. i want to see these players finally step up and be who they are paid to be.
Thanks Anonymous. I'd love you a lot better if you used a name when you posted. It doesn't even have to be a real one. Thanks.
thank you for using one of the best pictures of Callahan ever...except for that whole ruining his already injured knee while destroying Pronger thing.
I think guys like Cally, Dubi, and Staal are out to prove something next season and hopefully that mixed with Gabby's scoring abilities and having a top 10 goalie (even when the team was ranked #20) will produce better results.
