No Brodeur Doesn't Change Lundqvist's Approach

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants has this quote from Henrik Lundqvist on not seeing Marty Brodeur at the other end of the ice tonight...

“It is a little different,” said Lundqvist, still suffering from some neck stiffness after taking a Brian Boyle slap shot off his neck during Wednesday’s practice. “It doesn’t really change my approach. It’s probably a bigger difference for them (the Devils) because they’re so used to having him back there.”

...got to be honest it won't be the same with Brodeur not out there. It will almost be like the Rangers are playing the Devils JV team. Although with all the Devils injuries they pretty much are a JV team.

Here's John Tortorella chiming in on Lundqvist playing back-to-back games...

“I’m playing Hank against Jersey,” coach John Tortorella said. “I don’t care if it’s four games in four nights, I’m playing Hank against Jersey.”

...ok then.

the rangers canNOT blow this game.

This is the exact kind of game they NEED to win and are notorious for blowing.

A crippled NJ team without their top goalie.

Wouldn't mind seeing a Avery-Boyle-Gaborik line when Gabby gets back...Avery has been terrific along the boards, Boyle will do the dirty work in the corners as well and Gabby can freelance and look to get open in the low slots...

I agree with Avery-Boyle-Gaborik. Avery has great vision and loves to make the play. I like his style and I can see him playing with Gaborik.
