Torts, Players Talk Loss @ Flyers

Jesse Spector at the Blueshirts Blog has these post game quotes...

Brandon Prust on sticking up for teammates...

“That’s our mentality every game,” Prust said. “I think we’ve done a good job with that this year, sticking up for each other and backing each other up, mo matter in what way.”

Brian Boyle on the Flyers 20 blocked shots...

“We’ve got to get more shots through,” said Boyle, who had three of his shots blocked. “And we’ve got to tighten up a little bit. We did pretty good, but it wasn’t good enough. … They did a pretty good job of keeping us on the perimeter and blocking shots.”

Henrik Lundqvist on tonight's game...

“I think we played a pretty good game,” Lundqvist said. “It’s just, they scored a couple goals here and they didn’t really have to work that hard. You know, then they got that 3-1 lead and kind of killed the momentum that we had. But up until then, I think we played pretty well. We just have to move on and try to forget about this.”

While Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants has more including this one from Ruslan Fedotenko on the hit to the head he took from Dan Carcillo...

“If the league is trying to product shots to the head, they will address it,” Fedotenko said. “We, as players, need to play. I thought the first one was hooking, as I tried to shoot the first time and the second was a shot to the lead. I’m sure the league will review it and see if it was a clear hit to the head.”
