Rangers Talk Win vs. Blackhawks

Update, 11:06 p.m.:
Steve Zipay at Blue Notes has more quotes, including this one from Eric Christensen on Dubinsky...

"I can't think of any facet of his game that needs a lot of work. he shoots the puck well. He's a heady player, a physical player. I sit next to him opn the plane and I know he's the kind of person that really cares. he has really stepped up and is one of the leaders in this room."

Original Post:
Quotes released by the Rangers...

John Tortorella on Henrik Lundqvist…
“He has made some big saves at key times. It is so important. I think it works off one another. The players are playing hard for him blocking shots and Henrik has made some key saves at some key times in games that we won.”

Brandon Dubinsky on Ryan Callahan…
“He is a great player and he is really coming into his own offensively. He is such a leader and he leads by example. He is being rewarded, so that is pretty special right now.”

Dan Girardi on blocking shots…
“You get in the lane and sacrifice your body for the team. There’s no skill about it, you just get in the lane and go down. That’s about it.”

Its nice to see all the hard work being rewarded. Good to see Boyle put forth the effort during the offseason and really benefit by increasing his skill set (including skating) and changing his overall approach to the game. Good job.

One thing I noticed that Micheletti etc didn't point out: Grachev was seated next to Callahan the ENTIRE game. They want that kid to see what it takes to be successful at the next level and clearly Callahan is the guy to learn from. He'll be the next captain of the team.
