Showing Signs of Life

Sam Weinman of The Journal News, feels that with the weekend sweep the Rangers are showing signs of life...

"The Rangers as a whole have reason to be positive. On the outside of the playoff picture to start the weekend, their 67 points are now four points ahead of last year's pace, and they are back within four points of the Atlantic Division-leading Devils."

...all the bad games against Western Conference teams have masked how good this team has been against Eastern Conference teams. The Rangers are 7-1-1 in their last nine games against Eastern Conference teams and are 29-17-5 against the East this season. So sure this team has struggled against the West, but you know what, the next time we would play a West team is in the Stanley Cup finals. And with the way we're playing against Eastern Conference teams you never know.
