Jagr Shoots and Misses

Lynn Zinser of the New York Times gives a chart of Jaromir Jagr's recent shooting woes...

...just seeing all the shot opportunities in front of the net has to make you shake your head at how he's not scoring.

Lots of talk today on trading Jagr. I think this is a terrible idea. I read in another post on this site that Dellapina at the News wonders who would take over for Jagr. And the answer is no one. Keep him for the rest of the season and hopefully we can sneak into the playoffs. Once you get in the playoffs, you never know what can happen, especially this year in the East. Look at what happened to the Giants.

There was any article in the Post the other day, I thought by Brooks stating, The Rangers are not just about this season, and the team is no longer about Jagr. The team is centered around Gomez, Drury and need to find talent for them to play with.
I agree with Brooks and said it before that Jagr deserves almost all the credit for getting this team back to the playoffs, however in 2 years he went from MVP (should have won) to a player with confidence issues that can no longer find the net or carry a team. I think and said before although he is a great talent it is time to trade him. Instead of letting his contract expire(he is clearly not hitting ant point total to get his option picked up) and get some Snipers on the wings, that play North-South hockey like our 2 centers.
