Shanahan Expected Back Saturday

According to John Dellapina at The Daily News, Brendan Shanahan is expected to be back in the Rangers lineup on Saturday against the Buffalo Sabres...

"RW Brendan Shanahan, who has missed the last five games because of injuries to his left knee, hip, groin and lower back, skated yesterday and is expected to return to the lineup when the Rangers resume play Saturday against Buffalo."

...despite missing the last five games, Shanahan is still second on the team with 17 goals. Which is more of an indictment on how pathetic the Rangers offense is rather than how prolific a goal scorer Shanahan is.

...the question when Shanahan comes back is who sits? With Prucha being injured, Renney might not have to make that decision yet. However, if he's healthy, I'd like to see Hollweg sit and Callahan put on the fourth line. I say Callahan only because I like the chemistry with the Dawes-Dubinski-Prucha line.
