Laraque to Rangers?

Jim Matheson at the Edmonton Journal says the Rangers could be a likely destination for the recently bought out Georges Laraque...

"Best bet for Laraque? The New York Rangers, who let Donald Brashear go. New York GM Glen Sather drafted Laraque."

...ummm Jim, you obviously didn't watch a single Ranger game after the trade deadline because you would have know that they sort of acquired this guy named Jody Shelley, who kind of played on the Rangers best line down the stretch and was credited for turning the Rangers locker room around.

...not sure why the Rangers would go after a player who played so poorly last season he was bought out when they can look to re-sign someone who made a real difference for the team at a relatively cheap price.

God I hope not.

It is clear that Matheson has no idea the workings of the current roster, because if he did the name Laraque would never have been mentioned.

It's comical how these so called hockey reporters & I use the term very loosely when it come to Matheson, Garrioch, Brooks & Lebrun are so clueless as to reality they think something up in their own imagination's & put it on paper it really is the lowest form of press. I find Eklund to be closer to reality than any of them. The more & more I read the b.s. these morons spew I know the only the guy I trust to read anymore is Bob Mckenzie he is always in th eknow & does not report b.s.

Wow...I wonder how these kind of hockey reporters still have jobs. Like you guys pretty much said, he didn't do his homework. No way is this even a believable rumor.
