New Faces Don't Mean Instant Offense

Allan Muir at SI.com looks at storylines and pressing issues facing all 30 teams...

NEW YORK RANGERS: All eyes will be on Marian Gaborik and his wonky hip, but Gabby is just one of four new faces slated to skate on one of New York's top three lines. Coach John Tortorella has Chris Higgins, Vaclav Prospal and Ales Kotalik to work into the mix, and while all have been talked up as improvements for a woeful offense, none is coming off a banner season.

...for the Rangers to be successful the theme of this season has to be "bounce back" as pretty much all of their off-season acquisitions are coming off poor seasons.

...this isn't always a bad thing as I'm sure these players are going to be motivated to prove the critics wrong this year.

While Sam McCaig at The Hockey News has questions to ponder for each team...

Rangers
What does Sean Avery have in store this time around?

...i'm not sure but I can't wait to find out.
