Gaborik to Make Rangers Debut Tonight; Avery, Dubinsky Out

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Marian Gaborik will make his Rangers debut tonight vs. the Red Wings.

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes adds that Gaborik said he was not at 100 percent, but noted, "I don't think there is something I cannot do. I'm looking forward to my first game with the new team and playing at the Garden."

...this is as excited i've been for a preseason game in a while.

Zipay follows-up on Sean Avery's injury this morning by reporting that his right knee is being examined by assistant team physician Dr. Anthony Maddalo and is out for tonight.

Brandon Dubinsky is also out but John Tortorella said he is hoping Dubinsky will play on Thursday after a few more practices.

Finally, Gross has tonight's line-up...

Higgins-Prospal-Gaborik
Kotalik-Drury-Lisin

Voros-Anisimov-Callahan
Grachev-Boyle-Parenteau

Semenov-Gilroy
Del Zotto-Girardi
Sanguinetti-Redden

G: Henrik Lundqvist (will play the first half), Steve Valiquette
