Gaborik to Make Garden Debut Monday?

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Marian Gaborik hopes to play in the Rangers' next home preseason game, which would be Monday against the Red Wings...

"It's for confidence more than timing," Gaborik said of the preseason. "Once you get into a game situation, you get chemistry with the players who you are going to play with."

On having early chemistry with Vinny Prospal during this morning's scrimmage...

"He's looking for players all the time," Gaborik said of Prospal, who now must be considered a possibility along with Chris Drury as the top-line center, particularly considering Brandon Dubinsky's continued absence. "We had a couple of shifts out there. He's got vision and he works hard. It's right on your tape when he sees you."

...with Gaborik getting healthier every day, I'm really starting to get pumped for the season. Now all the Rangers have to do is sign Dubinsky and I'm going to be on cloud nine.

Wow, very very compelling argument there. This gives credence to the Kessel trade mentioned a few posts down also. If this is the case, Overhardt should really speak up about it in the media.

So do you like Gaborik or not? You jumped ship when there was rumors of a groin "injury" now you're psyched for him playing. Injury prone or not, it's great having a top 10 NHLer on the Rangers finally.
