Stephen Harris at the Boston Herald reports two well-placed sources in Toronto said the Boston Bruins are close to pulling off a blockbuster trade involving Phil Kessel and the Rangers could be involved...
"According to the sources, the deal likely will be finalized within the next week, as four teams are in the running. Toronto and Nashville have made the best offers in talks with B’s general manager Peter Chiarelli. Minnesota and the New York Rangers also are in the mix."
...with the Rangers cap situation this is a very unlikely scenario for the Rangers. However, with the Dubinsky contract spat you never know what Sather could pull-off by maybe involving a third team.
