Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Marian Gaborik scrimmaged for the first time at camp today playing for the victorious Red squad in its 3-2 win over White. Gaborik also got on the board, beating Henrik Lundqvist for Red's first goal, early in the first period.
...if he can stay healthy, we Rangers fans are in for a treat watching Gaborik all season.
Other scrimmage observations were P.A. Parenteau breakaway goal against Valiquette; Prospal beating Lundqvist; Kotalik scoring the scrimmage winner with a slap shot from the right faceoff circle to beat Chad Johnson.
Gross also reports that cuts will be announced later in the afternoon, as 54 will go down to about 30.
