Jeff Z. Klein at Slap Shots was able to sit down with Ryan Callahan before he left the U.S. Olympic orientation camp...
Here's Callahan on what he expects from himself this year...
“Obviously I want to improve points-wise and continue on progressing, like I was last year at the end of the year — the last 15 or 20 games, when Torts took over, I was putting up quite good points. I’d like to continue with that in the first half of the season and try to get us in a good position in the standings.”
Callahan also talks about the US Olympic team playing a similar uptempo style as the Rangers, possibly being on a line with Marian Gaborik and John Tortorella.
...really looking for Callahan to have a break-out year in Tortorella's system. It suits him to a tee.
