Gordie Clark, Rangers' Director, Player Personnel, says...
"He'll probably always have more goals than assists, but he is very capable of making plays. He moves the puck around the ice. He's very underrated as far as how he moves the puck to the right guy at the right time."
...we've talked Kreider a lot on this blog this season and it's all been positive. From winning the World Junior Championship and National Championship to being the only college player named to Team USA's World Hockey Championship team. His only failure was during the Worlds when Team USA really disappointed. Which may not have been the worst thing for him as winning seemed to maybe come too easy and now he has a taste of defeat which will hopefully drive him even harder.
...what I like the most about Krieder is his speed. That is something that should fit in real well with Torts' system. Assuming Torts will still be around when Kreider finally makes it to the Rangers in 2-3 years.
...big props to Clark for taking a chance on a player that a lot of so-called experts thought had holes on his game.

Definitely looking at the negatives in a player hides the fact that the positives should be an asset and the negatives can be coachable or a skill set can be increased.
