Avery to 4th Line; Auld Pays Tribute to Ranger Greats

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that John Tortorella's line shuffling carousel has continued with Sean Avery, who was benched most of the third period against the Devils, being demoted to the fourth line and Brendan Prust being moved up to a line with Erik Christensen and Chris Drury.

The other two lines: Vinny Prospal-Olli Jokinen-Marian Gaborik and Brandon Dubinsky-Artem Anisimov-Ryan Callahan.

...round and round he goes where Tortorella stops nobody knows. How about leaving the line combos alone, so, you know, they can actually develop some chemistry.

Gross also reports that Alex Auld has a new mask that has a likeness of Eddie Giacomin’s mask and one of John Davidson’s famous red white and blue mask, both in front of a Madison Square Garden shadow. On the other side is Mike Richter lifting the Stanley Cup.

...love to see a picture.

that 4th line change should be the one tweak the Rangers need to be that elite team.
