Steve Zipay at Blue Notes notes that the Rangers young defensemen will survive tomorrow's cut...
"Torts said that D Corey Potter was one player who would survive the cuts tomorrow afternoon that will bring the number of players in camp to 29 or 30. We know that Bobby Sanguinetti will also, as will Matt Gilroy (sweet breakaway move to score on a backhander in regulation and then five-hole in the shootout) and Mike Del Zotto, which doesn't bode well for many other defensemen."
...every Ranger fan should be ecstatic about the wealth of young talent the Rangers organization has on the blueline.
While Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports on the chemistry building between Enver Lisin and Vinny Prospal...
"I think it was because I was playing with good partners, with Vinny Prospal," said Lisin, whose line was completed by Avery. "He's a great passer, he's a great player, he was great that he found me space."
...a lot more impressed with Lisin tonight than last night. The kid can burn.
On Prospal's play tonight Tortorella said...
"I thought Prospal played really well tonight," Tortorella said. "His playmaking ability shows. A lot of people criticize his skating but he's a deceptive skater because he's a competitor. I've coached him so long (with the Lightning), I can play him at all three positions."
