Kreider Best 2009 Draft Pick for Rangers

Ryan Kennedy at The Hockey News take a look at the best draft selections made by all 30 teams in 2009...

NY Rangers – Chris Kreider, C (19th overall): Speedy as hell, Kreider was great at the world juniors, as was fellow Blueshirts pick Ryan Bourque (80th).

...a lot of experts questioned the Kreider pick last year because of how raw his talent was and the level of competition he played with. And those questions seemed justified early in Kreider's freshman year at Boston College. But since the world juniors the kid has been on fire and Rangers fans should be ecstatic about the future of this kid with the Rangers.

To Kreider's present, Jess Rubenstein at The Prospect Park reports that Kreider scored his 12th goal in his last 16 games and added an assist to lead 4th ranked Boston College to a 3-0 win against Vermont in an Hockey East Semi-Final last night.

The final is tonight against Maine.
