New York Rangers: Added forwards Olli Jokinen and Brandon Prust on Feb. 2, tough guy Jody Shelley on Feb. 12, defenseman Anders Eriksson and minor league forward Kris Newbury on Wednesday; dealt away Ales Kotalik and Chris Higgins on Feb. 2. Picked up Alex Auld on waivers. Again, a bubble team that didn't have the luxury of really paying out young assets for rental players. Trending: Sideways.

...i'm actually real happy with Sather's inactivity yesterday. He didn't overpay to bring in a big name like Kaberle or Hamhuis and more importantly didn't trade away Dubinsky who's name was in almost every Rangers rumor all year.
