Rangers Prospects Heading to WJC Finals

Newyorkrangers.com reports that Rangers prospects Derek Stepan, Chris Kreider and Ryan Bourque are going to Tuesday's gold medal game at the World Junior Championship tournament against the five-time defending champion Canada after Team USA upset Sweden 5-2 on Sunday night in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Stephan recorded an assist in the game to up his tournament leading point total to 12.

I watched the game last night and I really liked the way Stepan and Bourque worked. Bourque reminds me of Callahan.. . and is a spitting image of his father.

Kreider, on the othe rhand, was fairly invisible... but I did notice that he was doing the little things, so thats a plus.

One glaring issue is size... these kids are not ready to pay against NHL sized players who will play the body. However, if they can grow a little and put on some weight they could very well be some great grinders with skill.
