Mike Heika at The Dallas Morning News reports that Dallas Stars co-GM Les Jackson confirmed the club will place Sean Avery on re-entry waivers, and it’s expected the NY Rangers will claim him. ...from what I've been reading it's very doubtful a team below the Rangers will claim Avery, so if all goes well we should see him in a Rangers uniform on Thursday night against the Islanders on Long Island.
