Jagr to Edmonton Rumors Continue

The Fourth Period reports that Jaromir Jagr is intent on returning to the NHL next season and could very well sign with the Edmonton Oilers.

Apparently Jagr is currently negotiating out of his contract with Omsk and it is widely speculated that Jagr would end up signing with the Oilers next season for one-year at just over $7 million.

A resolution could come after the KHL playoffs are complete.

Back in February the Edmonton Journal first broke this story, then on Sunday Larry Brooks at the New York Post reported it as well.

...i can definitely see Jagr being interested in returning to the NHL, especially after everything he's been through this year in the KHL, but why the Oilers?

Edmonton probably reminds Jagr of Siberia.....

Maybe because they were the only ones to come even close to Jags' salary demands?

Back in July, they offered him 1 yr, $7M +
