Sather Saved Season?

Mike Milbury at CDC says Glen Sather's moves at the deadline my have salvaged the Rangers season...

"Give GM Glen Sather credit for recognizing that Plan A was not working out. And blame him for putting together Plan A, while you're at it. The game humbles us all, including the hall of fame GM and coach with a fistful of Cup rings on his resume. And befitting the competitive son of a gun that he is, Slats went to work."

...so what Milbury is saying is that Sather is the savior because he fixed the mess that he created. Huh?

So we need to recognize Sather for realizing that Plan A was not working? I think the rest of the hockey world noticed that when we dropped out of first place and slid down the Eastern Conference ranks...
I love the way the team is playing right now, but since it's going well it makes me wish that something had been done earlier. Hindsight is 20/20, but any fool could have seen a problem when Voros was still getting significant ice time.
