Rick Carpiniello at the Rangers Report has a post today that tries to quell our excitement of the Rangers current three game win streak...
"And while I mentioned after the Islanders game that some of the greats of the game live by the “don’t critique the wins” belief, it’s hard not to wonder if the Rangers lose the Boston game 3-1 against an average goalie. Then, how do we judge the way they played if they lose that game 3-1, or even 3-2, allowing the two third-period goals as they did?"
...Carp isn't the only one out there in the "They won, but..." crowd so I don't mean to come down on him, but who cares? A win is a win. Sure Fernandez was a sieve last night. But teams make their own breaks. The Rangers pressure offense is flustering teams and goaltenders right now. Fernandez came in with 2.32 gaa, which is better than Lundqvist's 2.49. So it's not like he's a bad goaltender. Anyone complaining needs to check themselves. Were you happier two weeks ago when we couldn't score and were losing to Toronto and Atlanta? This team is exciting and playing with passion again. If that's not good enough for you, then go watch the World Baseball Classic.

Thanks for calling this b.s. out. They WON for Christ's sake. We're watching sports here, people. Teams win or lose because of hot goalies, cold goalies, lucky bounces and bad bounces. You think the Number 1 teams dominate the hell out of the opposition? Nope, duh, look at Boston, number one team fell to the NYR. Think Detroit ever has games where it didn't go there way? Yeup.
SPORTS...deal with it.
Some people are malcontents and just love to find something to nit pick.
