Tortorella: "I don't think we were aggressive enough"

Here's a quick quote from John Tortorella after tonight's 3-0 loss to the Hurricanes...

"Especially the first two periods on our power plays (Cam Ward) was stepping out," Tortorella said to Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants. "He was outside the blue and he saw everything. He's too good a goalie for him to see pucks. What he sees, he's going to stop. I think that's an indication of our whole game. I don't think we were aggressive in that area. I don't think we were aggressive enough in all areas and all facets of our game. We were a step behind. They were quick and they win the hockey game. It's not back to backs. We just didn't create enough offense. We didn't create enough forechecking. It has nothing to do with back to backs. They were just the better team."

...Tortorella is really handling this team with kid gloves. He must sense the Rangers are a real fragile team because I thought he would go into a tirade after the game. If this team doesn't have the metal capacity to handle Tort's criticisms not sure how they're going to stand up against the pressure of trying to make the playoffs.
