Tortorella's Will Gets Rangers in Playoffs

Allan Muir at SI.com looks at the six bubble teams in the Eastern Conference and says that by sheer force of Tortorella's will, the Rangers hang on to the eighth spot.

Muir adds these keys to the Rangers qualifying for the post season...

"..they need more out of a blueline corps that's hung him out to dry on too many nights, and a commitment from their contact-shy forwards to head to the trenches with lunch buckets in hand and grim determination in their hearts."

...i haven't looked at every bubble teams schedule, but the Rangers have a doosy including four games with the Flyers as well as games at Carolina, Montreal, Boston and Pittsburgh.

...i'm happy with the direction of the team but that schedule really scares me.

I love the schedule...just because we play alot of the teams we are competeing for a ployoff spot and with a win can really do some damage in the standings...
