Rangers 4, Predators 2

The New York Rangers (35-25-8) defeated the Nashville Predators (33-30-5) by the score of 4-2, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...the last 40 minutes of the game was probably the best I've seen the team play all year. They were aggressive, skated hard and challenged every play. That must have been some tongue lashing from Tortorella between the 1st and 2nd period.

...now that's the Sean Avery we Rangers fans know and love. Great job by Tortorella sticking with the Avery-Gomez-Callahan line as they simply dominated this game.

...love to see a guy like Staal, who plays so great defensively, be able to chip in offensively. Very well deserved.

...congrats to Lundqvist on becoming the first goaltender in NHL history to win 30 games in his first four seasons.

...looks like Zherdev became the first Ranger to feel the wrath of Tortorella. Might we see Voros taking his place in what should be a physical game against the Flyers on Saturday?

...both Naslund and Antropov look real slow out there. I'm not sure they can keep up in Tortorella's system.

...big win with a lot of help tonight puts the Rangers in 7th place and feeling good headed into their home-and-home against the Flyers this weekend.
