Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports on John Tortorella's media briefing today which innocently started with Tortorella explaning the Rangers needed to play with some swagger then onto discussing the Rangers new acquisitions.
That was until Zipay asked him what seemed like a simple question about the Rangers being 0 and 5 this season in afternoon games, which received this response from an obviously bothered Tortorella...
"I don't give a damn about your stats," Torts shot back. "I don't give a damn about your stats. We're gonna try to approach the game the proper way. I'm not a big stat guy, you can turn those things around anyway you want."
Tortorella then tossed off another writer's question as to whether there was any difference getting guys into the lineup at home or on the road.

I can actually watch the games now and not fast forward through all the defense and crappy interviews. Thank you glen for bringing in avery and torts
He better be careful, Mrs. Gary Bettman might put him in a behavioral modification program for speaking his mind and off the cuff.
