Penguins 4, Rangers 3

The New York Rangers (39-28-9) lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins (41-27-8) by the score of 4-3, yesterday. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...looks like the Avery/Tortorella bounce may be over. With every team battling the Rangers for a playoff spot at least gaining a point last night the Blueshirts could be in serious trouble.

...while I can forgive Morris for being dusted by Crosby, Redden's lack of effort as he just stood there like a spectator as the Penguin's Captain buried the game winner was inexcusable. He should have been released right after the game.

...might be time for Lundqvist to start stealing the Rangers some games.

...i did love the Rangers resiliency as they came back from deficits all game long and were a Fleury kick save away from tying it in the final minutes.

...man was that some terrible officiating yesterday. The five minute major for interference on Orr had to be one of the worst calls I've ever seen. Add the fact that Avery was mugged the entire game without a single penalty called and Ranger fans had plenty to be steamed about. On a side note, outstanding job by the penalty kill (9-for-9).

...off today then Devils in town tomorrow night.

Redden was gliding down the ice, riding Crosby with a lame hook for nearly fifteen feet. Terrible.
