Rangers 4, Blackhawks 2

The New York Rangers (3-0-0) defeated the Chicago Blackhawks (0-1-0) by the score of 4-2, tonight at MSG. For a recap and box score go to Newyorkrangers.com.

For some post game quotes visit The Rangers Report.

...i think we've found a second line. Great game by all three players. Dubinsky is ridiculous right now. And Voros looks like a player who can make fans forget about Sean Avery real quick.

...by the way did anyone else see Voros almost kill someone after the game when he fired the puck into the crowd after being named first star. Calm down big guy.

...another great game by the pk - 12 for 12 on the season.

...love the back and forth play by the Rangers right now. It has left them vulnerable to some defensive breakdowns, but every game thus far has been very entertaining.

...change of scenery seems to be working for both Redden and Zherdev.

...Lundqvist is still the King. With the way he played tonight, its going to be tough for Renney to sit him in Philly tomorrow no matter how good Valiquette's numbers are against the Flyers.

...Rangers d has looked very solid this year especially Staal. Kalinin had a few giveaways tonight, but nothing of the Malik variety.

...Frische has to be in there for Dawes tomorrow. Dawes was invisible again tonight.

...3-0 for the first time since 1989-90. Not sure how good either Tampa or Chicago are, so I'm going to be a bit reserved with my excitement. But I am enjoying this.

...oh yeah if I hear a single word about the Rangers still being interested in Shanahan tomorrow I think I'll lose it.

The Dubinsky line was AWESOME. It's obvious he learned so much from Jagr. Callahan is great, too...takes no shite from anyone. Voros=big fan.

Very happy with the win last night, a little sloppy, but a win is a win. Its time to sit Dawes for Frische tonight, and hope that our Top line shows up as well. Love Voros, said after the 1st game he had a few scoring chances and thought he showed stay in the lineup...love that renney bumped him up to the 2nd line.

1st...I was at the Game last night as I have been at the home opener the past 3 seasons. Once again the opener failed to get the Garden Crowd as loud as it can....They need to play some music to get the crowd into it instead of just announcing the players with some NYPD drummers.

2nd... No give away at the door. I have been to at least 10 openers and they always used to give you a hat or something, the last few years nothing... While saving money with the salary cap and also raising ticket prices, the Dolans give nothing back the the Fans!!!!

Finally...a bud light bottle is now $8.00....that is up .50-.75 cents from last season..

Disgraceful!!!!!!
