Around the Atlantic Division

All notes from Yahoo! Sports...

New Jersey Devils (3-1-0) - After scoring a power play goal against Atlanta last night, Brian Rolston had to be helped off the ice midway through the third, apparently with a high ankle sprain. After the game Rolston was on crutches and had his right foot in a boot.

New York Islanders (2-2-0) - Islander back-up goaltender Joey MacDonald has more than done his job in getting the Isles to a 2-2-0 mark with Rick DiPietro still working his way back into playing condition following offseason hip and knee surgeries. DiPietro should get in a third straight day of practice Friday before making his first appearance since March on Saturday against the Panthers.

Philadelphia Flyers (0-3-1) - Four games into the season they’re 0-3-1 and the main culprit has been penalties and turnovers. Against the Avalanche on Thursday night, two giveaways led directly to goals and the Flyers put the Avs on 11 power plays, allowing three goals on the man advantage.

Pittsburgh Penguins (2-2-1) - Coach Michel Therrien is not happy with the Penguins’ 5-on-5 play so far as they've scored only five 5-on-5 goals this season. Captain Sidney Crosby has yet to score and looks agitated without departed right wing Marian Hossa.
