- In eight games against New Jersey last season, Chris Drury led the Rangers in goals (four) and points (eight), while Scott Gomez ranked first on the team in assists (six).

- The Rangers were 7-0-1 against New Jersey last year

....this will be the first time since Prague that the Rangers will be playing a team not playing their first game. The Devils will be ready from the opening whistle, so the Rangers better be prepared.
