Why Drury Deserves to Be on Team USA

Greg Wyshynski at Puck Daddy gives five reasons why Chris Drury deserves to be on the United States Olympic team.

Wyshynski's reasons include leadership, his salary not counting in the Olympics, more than numbers, versatility and pissing off Jeremy Roenick.

...not sure why there is so much vengeance towards Drury. As seen with U.S. Olympic basketball teams, to be successful you can't just have a group of superstars and expect to win. You need versatile players who can fill certain roles. And Drury can play a huge role on the pk and in the locker room. As Team USA GM Brian Burke said you don't need to be wearing a letter to show leadership.

I just think it's funny that when Drury does something wrong, everyone freaks out but Roenick says what everyone else is saying and we disagree. If Drury can't inspire the Rangers to greatness, how is he going to fare in a locker room with a lot more talent and thereby a lot more reason to disregard someone who's underperforming.
