Rangers in Top 10 Points % Since Olympic Break

Pierre LeBrun at ESPN.com takes a look at the post Olympic standings where the Rangers are in the top 10 in points percentage with a record of 8-5-3 - 19 points in 16 games for a point percentage of .594.

LeBrun also looks at second half point percentage that has the Rangers in the bottom 50% with a 17-15-5 record for 40 points and a .527 point percentage.

...and all this means nothing if the Rangers can't win at least three of their last four.

Unless Philly or Boston totally fall apart, I think they'll need to win all four games.
The increase in points has to be do to getting rid of dead weights Higgins, Kotalik, and Brashear.

Those two games are going to be out of control.

Want to another weird thing, relating to hockey gods? - if the Rangers sweep these last 4 games, we will have begun and ended the regular season with 7-game streaks...knocking on wood.

Yeah they are are. I'm thinking about shelling out $100 for one upper deck ticket...

Assuming Philly wins tonight against Toronto and Boston picks up at least 3 points in their final 3, the magic number is likely 88. In all probability, we will thus have to go, at the least, 1-0-1 against Philly in the final 2 games. Should Boston gain 4 points, they clinch. If they tank, and only garner 3, then there are more scenarios whereby we get in as an 8th seed behind Philly based on the wins tiebreaker.
