...there were lots of question marks about Gaborik's health coming into the season, but he has answered every test and the Rangers wouldn't even be sniffing the playoffs without him.
...would be a shame for the Rangers to miss out on the playoffs with the season Gaborik has had.

the most exciting part of this piece was the following: "some are expecting major alterations in Manhattan." I really hope that "some" are right.
Gaborik has played 29 playoff games: 12 goals, 10 assists. Not too shabby...cheers to him turning it on in the playoffs should they make it.

Absolutely agree. Never doubted the trade. Gaborik has been great, esp. considering the inconsistency of his rotating support cast.
However, I still believe he could be even more dominant. 3-5 more goals in close games this year or 1 or 2 more goals in SO situations and we are in the playoffs comfortably. As well, while it's very difficult to argue against playing through injury for your country, Gaborik was hurt/playing <75% for the better part of 10 games post-Vancouver as a result.
