Lundqvist Puts Players on Notice

In a feature on Henrik Lundqvist for newyorkrangers.com, Jim Cerny has this quote from the Rangers netminder on what the players should expect next season...

“Whoever is going to be here in September has to realize that we have to do much better because this is not where we want to be,” declared Lundqvist. “We expect more of ourselves. We want to be a good playoff team. That’s our goal.”

...this guy wants to see the Rangers organization succeed as much if not more than anyone on this team and I'd love to see him get a letter ala Roberto Luongo next season.

he deserves better in front of his net and in the offensive zone.

what's it really going to take to turn this team around?

I can't say I like the whole "captain goalie" thing. Goalies have enough to worry about, plus I think part of wearing a letter is talking to the officials. How does that happen when half the game is in the other zone? Besides, Hank doesn't need that kind of thing anyway. Like the way the Green Berets don't wear rank insignias.
