Rangers Get #10 Pick

Newyorkrangers.com reports that the Rangers will receive the #10 pick in this year's NHL draft as a result of last night's annual Draft Drawing.

For the Blueshirts, this will be the first top-10 pick in six years. The last time they selected in the top 10 was in 2004, when the Rangers chose Al Montoya No. 6 overall. The last time the team picked in the top 10 before that was in 2001, when they chose goalie Dan Blackburn with the No. 10 overall.

Edmonton will be picking at No. 1 overall.

...hopefully the Rangers don't go goalie again. That doesn't seem to be working out for them.

...scoring winger or bruising defenseman.

I was afraid we would end up as high as #6 & get another Al Montoya. But instead we got #10 & could be on our way to another Hugh Jessiman! (I kid because I care.)
