Drury Scores, Callahan Blocks in USA Upset Over Canada

Chris Drury scored his second goal of the Olympics to break a 2-2 tie and Ryan Callahan made a huge block in the final minutes to help USA defeat Canada 5-3. Here's a game recap.

...any questions about Drury being picked for Team USA now? I didn't think so. 'Captain Clutch' is back. Too bad he can't do that for the Rangers.

...Callahan just blocked another shot.

...i must say that I'm loving the way Wilson is using Drury and Callahan during the Olympics. He's putting them in situations they'll succeed and not over-burdening them. I hope Torts is taking notes.

...the two of them are third line players at best and should be used that way for the rest of the season.

they are 3rd line players on a team of all-stars...unfortunately, on the Rangers they are going to have to play some more important minutes...

fleisch, was just gonna post something similar: they are being used perfectly on the US team. The Rangers...are clearly not the US team. While Drury and Callahan DID get important minutes for team USA last night, they arent expected to help carry the secondary scoring burden like they are in NY

I think one of the reasons the Rangers are struggling to score is that the Rangers ARE expecting them to carry the scoring which I don't feel they're able to do. Unfortunately, the Rangers don't have anyone else other than Gaborik to rely on, so I guess I have to live with it. They are 20-25 goal scorers max.

Exactly. Our players who would be great role/secondary players cant be just that b/c we don't have enough top level talent.
