Game Likely, Gaborik Not

Larry Brooks at his blog Slap Shots says that with the Predators coming into Manhattan last night and the Ranger players who live outside the city staying at a midtown hotel it appears that tonight's Rangers/Predators game will be played.

However, Brooks expects Gaborik to sit out.

...should be an empty house tonight. You'd have to be a pretty dedicated fan to brave the snow to attend the game.

...as far as Gaborik goes, this is expected. Hopefully he'll be ready for the final two games against the Penguins and Lightning. No word on whether he'll still suit up for Team Slovakia but Brooks says he's still on the roster.

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes says game may be cancelled if Mayor Bloomberg declares a snow emergency.
